Stroll down historical streets lined with belle époque buildings — remnants of its heyday in the 19th century
when it was a favourite destination for British and Spanish royalty — and wander down the promenades of the
city’s three urban beaches. But don’t let those sandy stretches distract you from the city’s primary passion:
gastronomy.

San Sebastian is a mecca for foodies — the city has the second most Michelin stars per capita in the world. And
it’s not just the high culinary arts that are celebrated; seemingly every other building in the old town houses a
pintxo bar, inside which there are counters heaving with the city’s answer to tapas. These small plates are an
obsession and an art form — visitors flock here to indulge in bar crawls, sampling the specialities of each place
in a meal that lasts an entire evening.

Food will feature high on any itinerary, so you’ll need to work up an appetite. Hike up the winding paths of
Monte Urgull, which rise above the old town at the end of La Concha beach and grant sweeping views over the
city from the 12th-century Castillo de la Mota fortress; keep going to the summit to see the Christ statue. Look
out too for the Kursaal Convention Centre, a modernist building that resembles two giant sugar cubes and juts
out over the beach — it houses a gallery and a concert hall.

Guided City Tour - On the first morning after your arrival day our local expert guide will pick you up for a
guided city tour of the main attractions and highlights in San Sebastian followed by a guided pintxo-lunch as
the locals do. Walking through its old town, temples, museums and cathedral in the city center, and later on driving up to Igueldo to get the best views in town!

A short stop in the "Peine de los Vientos" to visit the most symbolic place of the city, and then a complete walk
through the city, with multiple stories and tales that happened in San Sebastian during its history.

Pintxo Guided Tour - On your PRIVATE tour, we will take you to the best 4 places in the old town and will
introduce you to this fantastic local custom. We do not want you to eat like a tourist, we want you to dine as a
local! This tour will allow you to enjoy the region’s famous miniature food in the old town of San Sebastian.
A special selection of 4/5 pintxos (Basque tapas) paired with 4/5 Spanish wines (or water or soft drinks or beer)
in up to 3/4 bars. It is a very nice way to have an informal lunch, learning about the local customs and tasting the best specialities in our favourite bars/restaurants!
