Fly Fishing Masterclass on the Tweed for 4 people
Description
For many, the dream of catching a Scottish Salmon “on the fly” is a bucket list experience. This exclusive package gives you and three lucky guests the opportunity to do a whole lot more than “dip your toe” in to fly fishing. You will have exclusive use of a one mile “beat” on the River Tweed in Scotland for a guided day of fly fishing with the chance to catch Atlantic Salmon and Sea Trout.
You’ll start your day with a tea, coffee, sloe gin or a dram to toast the river and bring luck to your day’s fishing. In the first part of the day, the Full time ghillie’s will set you up with equipment (included in the package), give you an insight into the fundamentals of fly fishing and teach you everything you need to know to safely navigate the famous double handed fly fishing casting, including one to one coaching on casting.
Your package includes a BBQ lunch of locally sourced produce and a selection of drinks to enjoy from the balcony of the purpose-built fishing hut overlooking the river. It’s quite the sun trap. After lunch, the Ghillies will help you use your newfound skills to try and tempt a Salmon on to your fly. This full day experience is the perfect way to test the water for beginners and for experienced fishers to hone their skills on one of the most famous stretches of fly-fishing river in the world. So tick off the bucket list because one day here and you'll be hooked.
(Voucher valid for 12 months. All fishing equipment is provided including waders , rod , line , tips and flies. The package includes welcome drink, tea and coffee throughout the day and a BBQ lunch of local produce. The lunch package can be upgraded to include locally sourced game or to a seafood platter with fizz for a supplement. Package also includes a drinks package including wine, beer and soft drinks. Additional drinks can be purchased on the day if required. Only four people can fish the stretch, but additional guests are welcome to enjoy the day from the hut for a supplement. The fishing season runs from February 1st to 30th of November. No Sunday fishing. At the ghillies discretion if you catch a "fresh" salmon or sea trout these may be retained. All coloured fish are returned to the river. The ghillies' decision is final on this matter. These dates may be subject to change if the river governing body updates/changes the laws.
